I am so excited to share these engagement photos from Cristen and Ethan’s engagement session at Enchanted Rock! I asked them to share some more about their story 🙂 It all began on August 4, 2014, when Ethan started his first day of work at BHP. His boss walked him down the aisles of the cube farm and little did he know, he was about to meet the woman whom he would one day call his wife.
After one year of getting to know each other over daily breakfasts (Cristen wasn’t even a breakfast person to begin with!), Ethan decided to invite Cristen out with some friends and family to an Astros game. Even though there was a flood that night, the rain didn’t stop them from starting off what would be their “happily ever after”. On August 3, 2015, almost one year to the day after they first met, Cristen and Ethan decided to make their relationship official.

Why did you chose to take your engagement photos at Enchanted Rock?
In 2017, Ethan surprised me for my birthday and took me to Fredericksburg. On the way, he drove me to Llano, Texas to have some Cooper’s BBQ – and to top it off we listened to Josh Abbott’s My Texas on repeat! We then stopped at Enchanted Rock (my first time), and did some exploring. It was so beautiful and nothing like I’ve ever seen. It just helps you appreciate the beauty we have around us, especially in our own backyard – America! We both have a love for nature and will give any excuse to escape our busy lives to enjoy God’s creation.
When did you know that you’ve found the one?
Ethan knew the day we made our relationship official. I would have to say the same for me. With Ethan, everything has always felt right, and he was never like anyone I had ever dated. As you probably noticed while we were taking pictures, he’s the most caring person, and is always so attentive. He would do anything for me, and I for him. I always tell him that his heart is my home because wherever he is, I feel safe and loved unconditionally.
